Bhubaneswar, March 30: A shocking case of alleged gang rape has been reported from the Tamando police station limits in the capital. A woman from West Bengal has lodged a complaint accusing two persons of sexually assaulting her on the pretext of dropping her at the railway station.

According to police sources, the accused allegedly offered assistance to the woman but later committed the crime. The incident has triggered concern over safety in the area.

Bhubaneswar DCP confirmed the development, stating that prompt action was taken following the complaint.

Police have arrested both the accused and produced them before the court on Monday. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
