As per reports, the bus had arrived from West Bengal and was parked at the Malatipatpur bus stand when the mishap took place.
Sources said that the fire broke out suddenly as the bus was moving out from the stand. The flames quickly spread, and the bus was completely reduced to ashes on the roadside.
Fortunately, no tourists were inside the bus at the time of the incident.
After spotting the fire, locals immediately alerted the fire department. Upon getting the information, firefighters arrived at the spot and doused the flames.
Though the exact reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that the fire might have started from cooking activities inside the bus.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
