Bhubaneswar, Oct 2: On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Odisha Construction Corporation Limited (OCCL) organised a walkathon at Ekamra Kanan in Bhubaneswar, with the message “Walk for a better tomorrow.”
The initiative is aimed to promote health, physical fitness, discipline and a sense of collective responsibility among employees and stakeholders.
The initiative highlighted the importance of a healthy and fit workforce in effective planning, efficient execution and nation-building.
The event was inaugurated by Bighnaraj Purohit, Special Secretary, Department of Water Resources, and Rashmi Ranjan Nayak, Aviation Director. The Director of the Water and Land Management Institute (WALMI), Chief Engineers of the Department as well as other senior officials of OCCL along with the employees of OCCL, also took part in the event.
The event was organised simultaneously at OCCL’s project offices across different districts of Odisha along with the head office in Bhubaneswar. Officials and employees of project offices in Sambalpur, Malkangiri, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Keonjhar, Ganjam, Koraput and Cuttack, among other locations, participated enthusiastically in the walkathon, reinforcing the message of health, fitness and collective responsibility.
