Jajpur, Sept 24: The wait for visually challenged Prafulla is finally over. Jajpur district administration has handed him over a homestead land Patta (record of rights). Prafulla’s joys knew no bounds when the record of rights was handed over to him by the Byasanagar Tehsildar. Sources said that Prafulla Das, a native of the Byasanagar area, was living a miserable life as he was a Divyang. He had no income, even a piece of homestead land to make a hut of his own on it. He applied for a piece of free land and Biju Pucca Ghar through the concerned sarpanch but in vain. A few days ago, he moved the heart of the Jajpur district Collector with his sorrowful songs followed by prayers to the district administration and the Tehsildar, in order to draw their attention. Acting on it, Tehsildar, Ashok Majhi and Additional Tehsildar Bikram Mallik handed over the RoR of a homestead land with an area of four decimals to Prafulla under the BASUNDHARA Yojna. Expressing happiness, Prafulla said that he is still hopeful of a shelter from the district administration.
