Vigilance traces properties worth Rs 1.3 crore of Section Officer in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Nov 19: Vigilance sleuths have traced properties worth Rs 1.3 crore of Ramesh Prasad Nag, Section Officer working in the office of Sub Collector Subarnapur. Vigilance sleuths on Thursday have conducted raids at three places including the office of Nag on allegations of acquisition of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income. Nag was found in possession of assets worth Rs 1.3 crore including one triple-storied building, one single-storied building at Larkipali in Balngir, four plots and other movable and immovable assets. “After thorough search, inventory and further inquiry, the income, expenditure and assets of Nag, he was found in possession of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income to the tune of 95% of his known sources of income,” said an official. Nag has been arrested by the Vigilance.
