Vigilance seized properties worth Rs 626 crore in last six years

Bhubaneswar, Mar 15: Odisha vigilance has seized movable and immovable properties worth Rs 626 crore between January 2015 and December 2020 on the allegations of amassing disproportionate assets, the Assembly was told today. As many as 541 vigilance cases were registered against government employees for possession of disproportionate assets. Similarly, 562 government employees were booked by the department during this period. According to the data placed in the House, charge sheets against 14 government employees have been submitted while the department has submitted final reports in five cases against five employees. Investigation of 522 cases against 543 employees is under process while departmental action has been recommended against 344 employees.
