Bhanjanagar, Mar 23: The senior assistant of Sub Divisional Veterinary Officer, Bhanjanagar in Ganjam district caught red-handed by the Vigilance officers while demanding and accepting an undue advantage bribe of Rs 15,000 today.
The accused has been identified as Manas Ranjan Das.
According to reports, Das has been caught red handed by the officers of Vigilance, Berhampur Division while demanding and accepting illegal gratification (bribe) of Rs 15,000 from one Jagabandhu Sethy, a retired veterinary technician of Binchana village under Gangapur police limits for processing his file for pension benefits.
The bribe money has been seized from the accused. The quarter and residential house are being searched on DA charges.
