Puri, Ap 5: In the recent development of the Puri Srimandir Kitchen Vandalism incident, at least four personnel of the Jagannath Temple Police (JTP) are being interrogated by Singhadwara Police. Besides, one of them was in charge of security at Baata Agana and Nata Mandap and the other three dropped the suspicious person (caught on CCTV) outside the temple. The four of them have been issued a show-cause notice to immediately reply under what circumstances the serious breach of security occurred at the shrine. All four were on duty from 10 pm on Saturday night till the morning of Sunday. The police have also reportedly questioned several servitors who were on duty till the Sandhya Dhupa rituals at the temple on the day of the incident. It is pertinent to mention that, over 80 ‘chulhas’ (mud ovens) inside the Jagannath temple’s kitchen, known as the Rosa Ghara, were allegedly vandalized by some miscreants on late Saturday night. It is suspected that the incident might be fallout of some business rivalry in Anand Bazar.
