Vaccination for 18-45 group to start in Rourkela from Tuesday: WODC Chairman

Bhubaneswar, May 9: Principal Advisor to Chief Minister and Chairman WODC Asit Tripathy visited Rourkela today morning and reviewed the management of Covid management in Sundargarh district. He looked into ground level situation regarding enforcement of Covid appropriate behaviour, checking of the spread and treatment of the patients. Director NHM Shalini Pandit accompanied Tripathy in this visit. Collector Nikhil Paban Kumar and other senior officers were present during the visit. At Rourkela, Tripay visited Rourkela Covid Hospital and High Tech Covid Hospital and reviewed the treatment arrangements there. He directed to enhance ICU beds in Rourkela Covid Hospital. He also assured that that two additional RTPCR machines would be supplied soon for early detection, isolation and treatment. Tripathy informed that 90 ICU and 120 oxygen beds will be added to the district immediately. The team also visited the 24x7 Rourkela COVID Helpline to see how the facility aids in COVID Management Rourkela and reviewed COVID Health facilities of the entire district.
