V. Karthikeyan Pandian awarded with FIH Presidents Award during 47th FIH Congress

Bhubaneswar, May 22: Senior IAS officer and Private Secretary to Chief Minister, V. Karthikeyan Pandian has been awarded with FIH Presidents Award during 47th FIH Congress. The President’s Award is awarded to individuals who are not members of the FIH for long and valuable services to hockey, whether direct or indirect, or services that have had an indisputable beneficial effect for hockey at international level. Odisha had successfully hosted Men’s Hockey World Cup in 2018. Naveen had received the President’s Award in 2018. The FIH Honorary Awards took place on the opening day of the 47th Congress, with the Congress session itself taking place on Saturday. Hundreds of delegates from all over the world will connect in the first ever online Congress, where key strategic decisions are made for the development and governance of hockey globally.
