CP rolls out special drive to trace & track missing minor girls

Bhubaneswar, June 10: The Urban Police District,Bhubaneswar rolls out special drive to trace out missing minor girls those have been either abducted or became unseen for any other reasons. As many as 35 missing girls have been rescued by the Urban police district of Bhubaneswar within 20 days. According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Umashankar Dash, at least 800 missing cases have been registered under the Bhubaneswar Urban Police District. Out of which, most cases are related to kidnap while the rest is for some other underlying causes. Concerned police had undertaken frantic inquiry lodging missing entries. However, most of the missing girls were remained untraced so far. Taking stock of it, a special drive has been initiated to beef up the search operation in and around the state. Accordingly, dedicated squads are at work to crack the cases while a separate Cell has been formulated to review the cases periodically. ‘Our miniature attempt may be the reason of smile for the affected parents those who have been longingly searching for their missed wards since long’, said Dash.
