Tourists from across the state and outside made the beeline on the beach to watch the New Year's first sun rise. {"id":22928,"sizeSlug":"large"} The tourists celebrated the Zero Night at Konark althrough the night and waited anxiously at Chandrabhaga to get the first sun ray of the New Year. However, dense fog and cloud delayed the sight of the Sun. The sun rose ay 6.22 am and the chants of Haribol and hulhuli rented the air, turning the environment spiritual. The tourists took the darshan of Sun God after taking bath at the sea. They prayed the Sun God wishing a peaceful and prosperous New Year. {"id":22929,"sizeSlug":"large"} On the other hand, there was a huge rush of tourists at the Konark Sun Temple, a world heritage site.
