Bhubaneswar: As part of the Ujjwala Swabhiman Utsav, Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Union External Affairs Sushma Swaraj today interacted with around 50,000 women beneficiaries of Ujjwala LPG scheme in the State through videoconferencing from New Delhi.
The women interacted with the Ministers directly and highlighted how the flagship scheme helped them and the changes it brought to their lives.
Earlier, Pradhan and Union Ministers Maneka Gandhi, Uma Bharti, Smriti Irani interacted with the women beneficiaries of the Ujjwala scheme in different districts in the State via videoconferencing.
Notably, the Union Government has set a target to video chat with six crore beneficiaries of the Ujjwala LPG scheme under the Ujjwala Swabhiman Utsav.
The first such programme was launched on January 24 from Odisha.
