Teheran, Jan 8: A Ukraine International Airlines flight crashed shortly after takeoff from Imam Khomeini airport here early this morning, killing all the 176 passengers on board, according to the country's Press TV. A senior official said 167 passengers and nine crew were on board in the Boeing aircraft. "Ukrainian embassy in Iran is working to clarify information on the circumstances of the tragedy and the list of deceased passengers", said President Volodymyr Zelensky in a Facebook post adding that he would cancel the rest of his current trip to Oman and would return to Kiev in view of the air crash tragedy. Zelensky expressed his sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of all passengers and crew members," .
