Two youths of Keonjhar swept away in Baitarani River

Keonjhar, Sept 17: Two youths of Keonjhar have been swept away in the Baitarani river at Anandpur on Friday. Firefighters are on to trace the two missing youths in the river. Sources said, Jagabandhu Naik and his two friends of Kumunia village had voyaged into the Baitarani River with truck tubes for collecting wood.  Meanwhile, they came into the strong current of water at the Anandpur barrage and were swept away. Being informed, a firefighting team rescued Jagabandhu from water. However, the other two were swept away in the stream. Operation is on to rescue the duo as soon as possible, said a senior fire official.
