
Bhubaneswar, Oct 19: Two youths have been detained for allegedly misbehaving with a Deputy Inspector General at the Indian Coast Guard and his family. The vehicle of the accused has been seized, police said on Saturday.
Police have registered a case in the matter and scanning the CCTV footage for further investigation. A case has been registered in the matter.
The alleged incident happened on Thursday. An Indian Coast Guard officer and his family were allegedly stopped by two youths on Thursday while they were travelling. The accused, who were in inebriated condition, misbehaved with them.
“The matter has been taken very seriously and two youths have been detained with seizure of their vehicle," Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar, Pinak Mishra said.
Necessary legal action will be taken against the accused. Further investigation into the matter is underway, said police.
