Lamptaput, May 16: The Lamptaput police on Sunday seized two quintal of ganja at Sankhai chowk near Kolab river and arrested one person in this connection while two others managed to flee from the spot. The accused have been identified as Rabindra Khila of Durla village, his brother-in-laws Laxman Khara and Prahallad Khara of Mundagarh village. Acting on the direction of Nandapur SDPO, Lamptaput police officials intercepted a speeding auto near Sankhai chowk and found about two quintals of ganja inside it packed in seven sacks. The estimated value of the seized contraband would be worth around Rs 20 lakh, said a police official. The arrested during interrogation said they were carrying the ganja from Durla village of Koraput village to Jeypore. Nandapur SDPO said that they have prepared a blueprint to nab the other two accused.
