Two more accused arrested in sweet stall owner murder case in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, Oct 12:  The special squad of the Commissionerate Police today said two more accused have been arrested in connection with the murder of a sweet stall owner in full public view at Samanatrapur on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar city last week. The accused arrested from Tumuribandha area in Kandhamal district have been identified as Sritik Biswal and Ashutosh Mohanty. Police also seized a motorcycle and sword used in the crime on October 4. The prime accused, Raja Behera, had surrendered on October 8. Later, police had arrested five accused last week. The five accused were identified as Dillip kumar Behera (45), his father Balaram Behera (74), his wife Sasmita Behera (41), Biswajit Barik(26) and Rasmi ranjan Barik(25). Another accused Rajkumar Behera has surrendered before a Bhubaneswar court on Thursday. Two miscreants had chased and hacked the victim Jambu Sahoo to death over past enmity while locals stood as a mute spectator. CCTV footage of the area showed the victim running for his life when one of the miscreants armed with a sharp weapon chasing him on the road. Locals had staged a rood blockade following the brutal murder.
