Two arrested for bootlegging in Mayurbhanj

Rairangpur, May 18: The excise department officials have seized huge quantity of foreign liquor that were being bootlegged and arrested two persons in this connection at multiple places in Mayurbhanjh district today. The accused have been identified as Budheswar Bindhani and as Chandra Murmu. Acting on a tip-off the officials conducted raid on Budheswar’s house at Champahuda village and found 14 liters of foreign liquor and 31.20 liters of beer during checking. Subsequently, they seized the liquor and arrested the accused. Similarly, a team of officials raided on Chandra Murmu’s shop in Kalarada village and found 10 liters of liquor from it. They seized the liquor and detained Chandra for further investigation.
