TV journalist meets tragic death during covering rescue operation of tusker in Mahanadi

Cuttack, Sept 24: Odia Television journalist who was covering the rescue operation of tusker trapped near Mundali barrage in Mahanadi died today. The deceased has been identified as Arindam Das, working as a senior reporter in Odisha Tv, a private news channel in Bhubaneswar. Worth mentioning, the tusker got stuck today morning near Mundali bridge reportedly due to strong water current in the river. ODRAF boat trying to rescue the trapped elephant capsized near Mundali barrage in Mahanadi. The ODRAF boat, carrying rescue personnel, capsized in the water. The boat was engaged to carry out the rescue operation. Seven persons including two journalists were in the boat among which Arindam was also present.
