Washington DC, April 5: Former US President Donald Trump has once again delivered a strong message to Iran, urging the country to reopen the crucial Strait of Hormuz or face severe consequences. In a fiery post on Truth Social, Trump used explicit language to emphasize the importance of the move, reminding Tehran that time is running out for a deal or reopening the vital waterway. He warned that if Iran fails to comply, Washington will target Iran's energy and civil infrastructure.
Trump's warning, which followed up on a previously set 10-day ultimatum, included a strikingly blunt message: “Open the F****n' Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell—JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah.” The post also included a preview of his upcoming plans, stating that “Tuesday will be Power Plant Day and Bridge Day” for Iran, signaling that the US could take drastic actions on April 6 if Tehran does not act.
Earlier, Trump had reminded Iran of its remaining 48 hours to either come to a deal or reopen the strategic shipping route, warning of the catastrophic consequences that would follow if they fail to act. "Time is running out—48 hours before all Hell will rain down on them. Glory be to GOD!" Trump wrote in his message, reaffirming his tough stance.
On March 26, Trump extended a temporary pause on military strikes targeting Iran's energy infrastructure for another 10 days, delaying any military action until April 6, 2026. He explained that the extension was made following a request from the Iranian government, while also asserting that the diplomatic talks between the two countries were progressing well. Despite media reports to the contrary, Trump assured that negotiations were moving forward.
This latest message from Trump serves as a continuation of his previous warnings to Iran, which included a directive to delay military action on energy plants for five days, all while pushing for Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz. Tensions remain high in West Asia as the deadline approaches. ( With Agency Input)
