Paradip, Jan 4: A youth has been killed after a speeding truck tossed his bike at Koudukol-Bhakuda square under Mahanga police limit on Thursday. The deceased has been identified as Biswanath Dash. Sources said Biswanath and Jagbandhu Das were leaving for Kendrapara. Meanwhile, a truck hit them from the front at Koudukol-Bhakuda square. As a result, both sustained critical injuries. However, Biswanath died on the spot. Being informed, police and fire personnel went to the spot, rescued Jagabandhu, and admitted him to the Badachana hospital. Later, he was rushed to Cuttack after his health condition deteriorated. A UD case has been registered in this connection. The body has been sent for post-mortem, said the police.
