Bhubaneswar, May 17: ‘Travel with Jo’ craze, ace YouTuber & Vlogger Jyoti Malhotra has reportedly vlogged on Puri Jagannath Temple.
It came to fore on Saturday when the popular vlogger was held by the Haryana Police on the charges of spying for Pakistan operatives especially for the act of sharing location maps of significant landscapes of India.
A few hours to the arrest of Jyoti, photographs and videos featuring her signature in the Puri Grand Road, loitering in & around the Shree Jagannath Temple and even capturing the sealike crowd in the golden seabeach here, came to the spot light.
If Jyoti’s modus operandi as the police investigation reveals so far is believed, she used to map historically, geographically and spiritually significant spots across India in her blogs. She was also probed to share the nation’s safety and security related facts and figures with the Pakistan Intelligence Operatives (PIOs) through telegram and other multi-blogging sites, for financial benefits. Apart from it, she had flown very often to Pakistan remaining in ally with a Pakistan High Commission official posted in Delhi, with some information related to the secrecy of the nation.
Meanwhile, Jyoti’s long time presence in the 12th-century shrine Puri and her apperance reportedly on the Konark Sun Temple campus that’s an UNESCO World Heritage Site, now reverberate many a pertinent questions. Did Jyoti visit Odisha’s Puri wholeheartedly as a devotee of Lord Jagannath as a common visitor does? Was she too passionate to capture the shrine’s rich cultural heritage and the ancient history of Odisha righteously inscribed on the religious monument in order to propagate on her Vlogs for an abundant viewership?, Or, she had planned to address both of her objectives at a stretch?
On the other hand, if the timeline of convergence of Jyoti, an official of Pakistan High Commission, Danish and the entire network of the Pakistani Intelligence Operatives is analysed, it is of one-three years’ affairs. Notably, Malhotra reportedly visited Pakistan within a few months to her Puri visit, as the dateline of the images or video she captured on her camera revealed.
Here, a few other questions arise in the minds of devotees, why the vlogger was hurried for Pakistan if her dream content on Puri was hosted on her ‘Travel with Jo’ site successfully?
Puri being an epicenter for the world people, for the presiding Lord Jagannath, has been one among the biggest religious institution of Hindus across generations. However, it has very often been a soft target of miscreants, the attack of Kalapahada that the history of Odisha scripted, is one among them. At right point of time, the investigation will unveil the mystery shrouded over it, if important facts relating to Puri Jagannath Temple are shared with Pakistan, and does it pose any threat for the 12th-century shrine in future?
