Bhubaneswar, September 21: Several train services will be cancelled or diverted on specific dates in September and October due to safety-related modernisation works in the Chakradharpur Division, the South Eastern Railway said.

The regulation of train services has been planned to facilitate the safe and smooth execution of the modernisation works.

Train Services Cancelled

The following trains will remain cancelled on the dates specified:

• Train No. 18309 Sambalpur Jn–Jammu Tawiwill remain cancelled on September 22, 24 and 26, whileTrain No. 18310 Jammu Tawi–Sambalpur Jnwill remain cancelled on September 25, 27 and 29.
• Train No. 22861 Howrah–Kantabanji Ispat Expresswill remain cancelled on September 25, 27 and 29, and October 1 and 2. In the return direction,Train No. 22862 Kantabanji–Howrah Ispat Expresswill remain cancelled on September 26, 28 and 30, and October 2 and 3.
• Train No. 12871 Howrah–Junagarh Road Ispat Expresswill remain cancelled on September 26, 28 and 30, whileTrain No. 12872 Junagarh Road–Howrah Ispat Expresswill remain cancelled on September 27 and 29, and October 1.
• Train No. 15028 Gorakhpur Jn–Sambalpur Maurya Expresswill remain cancelled on October 1, whileTrain No. 15027 Sambalpur–Gorakhpur Jn Maurya Expresswill remain cancelled on October 3.
• Train Nos. 18452/18451 Puri–Hatia–Puri Tapaswini Expresswill remain cancelled in both directions on October 2.

Train Services Diverted

Some trains will also operate through alternative routes on the specified dates.

Train No. 20818 New Delhi–Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express, commencing its journey on September 27, will be diverted from its existing route ofNSC Bose Jn–Gomo–Anara–Purulia Jn–Chandil Jn–Chakradharpur–Rourkela–Jharsuguda–Cuttack.

The train will instead operate viaNSC Bose Jn–Gomo–Adra–Midnapore–Hijli–Bhadrak–Cuttack.

Similarly,Train No. 18477 Puri–Yog Nagari Rishikesh Express, commencing its journey on September 30 and October 1, will be diverted from its existing route ofCuttack–Bhadrak–Hijli–Tatanagar–Rourkela–Jharsuguda–IB.

The train will instead run viaCuttack–Sambalpur City–Jharsuguda Road–IB.

Railway authorities have advised passengers to check the latest train running information on theNational Train Enquiry System (NTES)or through official railway enquiry services before starting their journey.
