Traffic restrictions in Bhubaneswar for Prez Droupadi Murmu’s Odisha visit

Bhubaneswar, Dec 3: Bhubaneswar will implement strict traffic regulations during President Droupadi Murmu's five-day visit to Odisha, starting from today. The Commissionerate Police has announced specific road closures to ensure smooth traffic flow and enhanced security.
From December 3 to 6, various roads will be closed at different times. On Tuesday, from 4:50 pm to 5:35 pm, major routes including Airport Square, Hospital Square, and AG Square will be shut. Another set of roads, including Neeladri Vihar and Jaydev Vihar, will be closed between 6 pm and 6:30 pm.
On Wednesday, from 8:50 am to 9:15 am, roads such as Raj Bhavan Square and A.G. Square will be closed. Later, from 11:50 am to 12:15 pm, roads like Raj Bhavan Square and Gopabandhu Square will also be shut.
Additionally, on Wednesday, between 5 pm and 5:25 pm, roads including Raj Bhavan Square, Kalpana Square, and Museum Square will be restricted. Another set of closures will take place from 6:15 pm to 6:50 pm, affecting roads like Ravi Talkies Square and Mausi Maa Square.
On Friday, there will be closures from 8:50 am to 9:30 am, impacting routes between Raj Bhavan Square, AG Square, and Hospital Square.
Heavy vehicles and buses will also face restrictions, particularly between Kalpana Square and Lingipur Square. Buses from the Puri side will be diverted to the Bypass Road and other alternate routes.
To oversee the arrangements, a significant number of senior police officials, including three DCP-rank officers and over 200 inspectors, have been assigned to ensure security as per Blue Book guidelines.
