TPCODL adjudged National Winner 2022 at 34th CII National Quality Circle Competition

Bhubaneswar, Mar 16: TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL), a joint venture between Tata Power and Government of Odisha, has been adjudged as National Winner 2022 with Par Excellence Award at the 34th National Quality Circle Competition organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). TPCODL’s Quality Circle team ‘Roopantaran’ took part in the competition held online with the case study ‘Reliability Improvement of High Revenue 11 KV Unit – 1 Feeder- BCDD1 Division’. A total of 36 winning teams from Regional Level Quality Circle Conventions of North, South, East and Western India including industry heavyweights like Bharat Electronics Limited, Gabriel India Limited, TVS Motor Company, Havells India Ltd, Noida Power Company and Kalpataru Power transmission Ltd participated in the competition. Quality Circle competitions aim at creating a conducive and stimulating atmosphere for the employees such that their creativity can be energized and properly channelized. The improvements implemented through the QC ensure greater focus on product & service quality and an overall enhanced delivery of world class experience to the customers. Congratulating the winning team, M. Shenbagam, Chief Executive Officer, TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited, said, “It is an honour for TPCODL to receive this prestigious award. This is a recognition of our indigenous innovations and process improvements, which is very motivating for us.
