Tiger cub ‘Kusha’ sustains leg fracture, enclosure period extended

Bhubaneswar, Feb 12: Tiger cub ‘Kusha’ has sustained leg fracture following which the Nandankan Zoo officials have extended its enclosure period for another 15 days. The cub was kept in enclosure due to paralysis a few days ago. An X-ray conducted on Thursday revealed that Kusha’s present immobility is due to a fracture in its hind leg. Kusha is the baby of tigress Sneha. It is kept in a special enclosure for its serious illness. Finding it quite docile and in appetence, Nandankanan authorities has put it in a special care home. Recently, Kusha recovered from paralysis and tried to walk. However, it pulled out hind legs along with difficulty. During diagnose, the attending doctor conducted an X-ray that revealed a fracture in its hind leg.
