Bhubaneswar, July 30: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms in 15 districts of Odisha on Wednesday. The districts likely to be affected include Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj.
According to the IMD, the weather activity is a result of prevailing atmospheric conditions that may lead to localized thunderstorms and moderate rain across these regions.
Meanwhile, several parts of the state recorded significant rainfall on Tuesday. Titilagarh received the highest at 39 mm, followed by Bhubaneswar with 37.4 mm, Nuapada with 23 mm, and Balangir with 22.2 mm. Other notable figures include Khordha and Chandbali (Khordha) with 12 mm each, and Chatrapur with 10.6 mm, as per official data.
