Bhubaneswar, Aug 9: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a nowcast warning for Deogarh district, asking the residents to remain alert for likelihood of thunderstorms with lightning and light to moderate rainfall.

The warning was issued at 10:37 AM and is valid until 1:37 PM.

The Regional Met Centre, Bhubaneswar has assessed the certainty as “very likely” and classified the warning severity as “alert.”

According to the advisory, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and light to moderate rain are very likely to occur at most places during the next three hours.

Residents in the affected areas are advised to remain alert, take necessary precautions, and follow SDMA safety guidelines, particularly during thunderstorms and lightning activity.
