Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological department today predicated thunderstorm, lightning and moderate rainfall alert for eight districts.

It predicts thunderstorm, lightning, moderate rainfall at one or two places over Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Boudh, Sonepur, Bolangir districts till 7 pm today.

It advised people of the eight districts to remain alert and stay in safe place during the period to avert any disaster.
