Cuttack, June 30: Three empty wagons of a goods train derailed at Cuttack railway station early Monday morning. The incident occurred around 8:30 AM on loop line number 8. No casualties or injuries were reported.
Despite the derailment, train services on the Bhadrak–Cuttack–Visakhapatnam route remained unaffected. Operations on the Cuttack–Paradeep line also continued as usual, railway officials confirmed.
A mechanical team reached the site promptly and began restoration work. According to the Khurda Road Railway Division, repair operations are expected to be completed by the afternoon.
