Bhubaneswar, September 24: In a significant crackdown, Jagatsinghpur Police have arrested three notorious drug peddlers from the Kujanga Police limits. The trio was apprehended following a raid near the Taladanda Canal embankment in Sandhapur, according to Dr. Satyajit Naik, DIG of the Central Range, Cuttack.

The police team seized 277.340 grams of brown sugar from the arrested individuals, along with three mobile phones and ₹5,000 in cash.

This operation marks a major success in the ongoing battle against narcotics in the region, as part of Operation PRAHAR.

DIG, Dr. Naik stated that this seizure represents one of the largest in recent times, delivering a strong blow to the brown sugar trade in Jagatsinghpur district.
