Third round of sero survey in Bhubaneswar to begin from tomorrow

Bhubaneswar, Oct 15: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) will start the third round of sero survey in Bhubaneswar with technical support from RMRC from October 16 to October 18. As many as five teams will be carrying out sample and data collection from 1500 people of Bhubaneswar city selected randomly from 25 wards across the city. The civic body urged general public to support the endeavour and participate in good numbers. The surveillance is being conducted according to the Covid -19 guidelines, said BMC Commissioner Prem Chandra Choudhary. As per the strategy finalised, there will be random sample collection from different high risk groups and community members like- Immuno-compromised patients, health care workers, security personnel, media persons, municipal workers, drivers, prisoners, shop keepers/ vendors, air port workers, urban slum dwellers and those residing in containment zones, he added.
