Bhubaneswar, Oct 21: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik emphasised on focusing more on treatment of Covid patients with co-morbidities. Patnaik also urged people with symptoms to come forward for testing as the number of people coming for tests is decreasing during a review meeting through video conferencing on Wednesday. “The total testing in the state has crossed 40 lakh mark and recoveries have also crossed 2.5 lakh mark. Still we need to remain more careful and continue to abide by the norms of Covid-19. We also need to continue the awareness drive,” said the CM. Development Commissioner Suresh Chandra Mahapatra apprised the CM on Covid-19 situation in the state. Mahapatra said that the administration is fully alert despite decline in number of cases. “The number of active cases in five districts of Khordha, Cuttack, Angul, Mayurbhanj and Sundargarh are over 1000 while the infection in other districts has decreased. Concerned district administrations have been asked to remain more watchful for Durga Puja and Diwali,” said Mahapatra.
