Bhubaneswar: Talent Boost Programme by Finland Embassy at AIPH University

Bhubaneswar, 14 May: A delegation from Embassy of Finland New Delhi, visited AIPH University Bhubaneswar and had an interactive session with the students and faculty. The team highlighted on Study, Research and Career Opportunities in Finland for the Indian Students & Professionals. While hosting the delegation, the Vice Chancellor Padma Shri Prof Dr Aditya Prasad Dash presented AIPH University Bhubaneswar as a unique educational institution of the country offering a wide scope for education, research and skilling in the area of Public Health, Health Management, Biological Sciences and other health sciences. Apart from offering quality classroom education, the university focuses on hands-on lab research and training, and international exposure to the students and researchers through global partnerships, he highlighted. Leading the delegation of Govt of Finland Talent Boost Programme Dr. Mikka Tirronen, Counsellor of Education and Science, Embassy of Finland elaborated on the various opportunities in higher education and research at Finland for Indian students of different streams. While appreciating the concept, courses and research facilities offered at AIPH University Bhubaneswar, he invited the students and professionals to explore opportunities in Finland. As a part of the Finnish delegation, Mr. Santeri Ojala Global Head Talent Boost International informed on the Business and Startup opportunities in Finland for Indian students, working professionals and entrepreneurs. At the beginning of the programme, the visiting delegation was welcomed by Placement and Career Counselling Services, Office of Student Affairs at AIPH University Bubaneswar. At the end of the interaction, a Question and Answer session was conducted where the students clarified various queries with the Finnish delegation. This was a cross administrative programme of the Govt of Finland coordinated by Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment and the Ministry of Education and Culture aimed at attracting overseas students and professionals. The visit also looked to explore partnership between Finnish and Indian Educational Institutions. Along with the VC AIPH University, Prof PR Misra, Director HR & Student Welfare, Prof S Mishra, Registrar, Prof N Behera, Dean School of Biological Sciences, Prof P Panda, Dean School of Public Health and Prof Arjit Mahapatra, Dean School of Allied Health Sciences, other faculty members and officials attended the programme.
