Sundargarh horror! Minor girl raped repeatedly for 14 days in Odisha

Sundargarh, Aug 1: In a horrific incident reported from Talasara area of Odisha’s Sundargarh district, a minor girl was allegedly raped by a youth repeatedly for 14 days.
After learning about the victim’s ordeal, her family members lodged a written complaint with the Talasara police following which they swung into action and arrested the accused.
As per reports, the victim and accused knew each other. He had offered to drop her at a relative’s house on his bike but took her to a rented house in another village, where he allegedly raped her repeatedly.
Meanwhile, the victim’s family filed a missing complaint with Talasara police after being unable to trace her.
The entire incident came to fore when the victim escaped from the clutches of the accused and returned home, where she revealed her ordeal to her family. Thereafter, her family members filed a written complaint leading to the arrest.
Meanwhile, police took the victim for a medical examination and recorded her statement before the magistrate.
Sadar SDPO Nirmal Mohapatra said an investigation is ongoing to determine if the accused acted alone or had accomplices.
