Sunabesha comes five times a year, know the occasions

Puri, July 21: Sunabesha is one of the 32 significant Beshas (Attires) of Lord  Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra. Sunabesha ritual in Puri Jagannath temple is held five times a year. The most significant Sunabesha of the Trinity is observed on Bahuda Yatra during the annual sojourn of the deities. It is a special ritual of Rath Yatra performed inside the chariots when parked on the Grand road. The second Sunabesha is held on Bijaya Dashami or Dussehra in October every year.The third Sunabesa comes on Kartika Purnima in November. Similarly, the deities appear on Sunabesha that is performed in Pausa Purnima in December. While the other Sunabesha is held in Magha Purnima in January every year. The Sunabesha on the Bahuda Yatra is organized outside the temple whereas the others are conducted on the Ratna Mandap inside the Jagannath temple.
