Subhadra Yojana 5th installment today: 1.03 Crore women to receive Subhadra money today

Bhubaneswar, Aug 28: On the occasion of Rakhi Purnima, the Odisha government will release the fifth installment of the Subhadra Yojana for eligible women beneficiaries across the state.

Under the fifth installment, each eligible beneficiary will receive ₹5,000 through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). A state-level programme has been organised at Lathipada village playground in Nayagarh block, where Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will inaugurate the event.

Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida will also attend the programme and address the women beneficiaries.

According to information, around 1.03 crore women are expected to receive the fifth installment, including 2,21,054 new beneficiaries. The state government will transfer more than ₹5,160 crore directly into the beneficiaries’ bank accounts.

Beneficiaries who have one or more previous installments pending will also be eligible to receive the Subhadra assistance after completion of the required field verification.

The government has further indicated that beneficiaries who remain excluded from the fifth installment will receive the assistance one month after the release of the fifth installment, subject to verification and eligibility.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is scheduled to arrive in Nayagarh by helicopter at around 11:15 AM. The state-level programme is expected to begin at 11:25 AM and conclude at around 1:10 PM. The Chief Minister is scheduled to return to Bhubaneswar at around 1:30 PM.

The Nayagarh district administration has made elaborate arrangements for the Chief Minister’s visit and the state-level Subhadra programme.

The release of the fifth installment on Rakhi Purnima is expected to provide financial assistance to over one crore women beneficiaries across Odisha.
