Bhubaneswar, Dec 6: In order to study the ‘Judicial Evolution in Odisha’, historians would research the century-old and fragile case records. Authorities of the Orissa Law Department through a press release informed it on Saturday. According to the release, the Orissa High Court has rolled out a digital record-keeping system ‘ the Record Room Digitalisation Centre’(RRDC), with an aim to preserve the old case records in an E-domain. {"id":151861,"width":834,"height":467,"sizeSlug":"full","linkDestination":"none"} At the same time, a fragile Record Room has been segregated for the ancient,  soiled case records which have been preserved since 1848, that is from the establishment of the Orissa High Court. These records will be analyzed by historians so that the 'Evolution of the Judiciary Process in Odisha' can be studied and treasured for future reference, said the release. “There are records which are in such fragile condition that those cannot undergo the process of scanning. Such records are permanently preserved in a separate room called the Fragile Record Room,” said the State Law Department here on Saturday. “Records aging more than two centuries are preserved there and there is a proposal for consulting historians and facilitating them to study such records and research on the evolution of the State Judiciary,” read the release aired by the State Law Department on Saturday.
