Strait of Hormuz Remains Fully Open Despite Donald Trump Threats States Iranian President

Tensions escalate as Iran vows to protect sovereign waters

Tensions between Washington and Tehran are reaching a boiling point as both sides exchange fierce rhetoric. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian recently fired back at aggressive comments from US President Donald Trump. After Trump claimed his administration essentially wiped Iran off the global map, Pezeshkian dismissed these remarks as desperate illusions. He firmly stated that such Donald Trump threats only serve to unify the history-making Iranian population.

Clarifying his country's maritime policy, Pezeshkian noted that the vital Strait of Hormuz will remain completely accessible to global shipping. However, he drew a strict boundary, warning that any foreign entities violating Iranian territory would face severe consequences on the battlefield.

Warnings Issued by Iranian Officials

Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi expanded on the region's shipping situation. He argued that global insurers are terrified of the war initiated by Washington, which is the real reason commercial ships are hesitating to pass through. Araghchi maintained that genuine freedom of navigation relies heavily on the freedom of trade.

Taking an even harder stance, Iranian Parliament Speaker MB Ghalibaf issued a severe financial threat. He warned that any institutions helping to fund the US military budget are now considered legitimate targets. Ghalibaf specifically pointed out that US treasury bonds are soaked in blood, cautioning global investors that purchasing these assets could invite direct strikes on their headquarters.

Washington Doubles Down on Military Actions

US officials remain entirely unbothered by these warnings and are maintaining a highly aggressive posture. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent publicly confirmed that the United States possesses massive financial resources to sustain its ongoing military operations. He defended the current administration's strategy, noting that Trump’s military actions fall completely within his legal authority under the War Powers Act.

Furthermore, Trump recently mocked political analysts who questioned his Middle East strategy. The US President boasted about obliterating Iranian influence and claimed Tehran is now begging to negotiate. He bluntly concluded that he currently has zero interest in coming to the bargaining table. This escalating US Iran conflict continues to shake global markets, and Middle East tensions carry massive implications for worldwide stability.
