Bhadrak, May 13: A student of Barapada Engineering college in Bhadrak has been critical after he was stabbed by a group of students on Friday.

Sources said, the MBA students of the Barapada Engineering College had organised a welcome ceremony for the new- comers students. Meanwhile, a clash broke out between two sections of the students. Two groups of students with the help of some outsiders faced each other. The oral spat went violent when both sides attacked each other. Aggrieved on it, miscreants stabbed one Deepak Majhi with a sharp weaon.

Being informed, Bhadrak Rural police rushed to the campus and initiated an investigation.

However, no formal complaint has been lodged with the police so far, in this connection.
