<strong>Spurious foreign liquor manufacturing unit busted in Rourkela</strong>

Rourkela, Sept 21: Excise officials have busted a spurious foreign liquor manufacturing unit in Rourkela city on Wednesday. A huge cache of duplicate foreign liquor with bottling equipment have been seized from the Tunguritola area under the Panposh police limit. Sources said that the Excise officials of Rourkela division conducted a raid in the Tunguritola area, acting on a reliable input. Meanwhile, a liquor manufacturing unit was spotted where country liquor was being prepared and bottled in a large scale as imported and reputed brand foreign liquors. Following this, at least 4000 empty bottles , 23,546 labels,2,347 numbers of forged stickers along with other bottling equipment were seized from the unit. A case in this connection has been registered. Two accused have been held from the spot. A car and a scooter which were being used in the illegal trade have been seized, said an Excise Official.
