Bhubaneswar, Aug 30: A special member of the Central Zoo Authority (CZA) on Monday visited Nandankanan zoo and reviewed various activities being taken by the zoo authorities.
The special member was informed about various issues of the zoological park and the future planning to bring more animals, said sources.
The authorities have planned to procure exotic animals including a pair of African cheetah to Nandankanan.
However, the zoological park is not in a position to bring exotic animals from abroad owing to loss of revenue in the last fiscal.
Notably, the footfall to the zoo remained low despite its reopening due to Covid restrictions.
