Special drive against abandoned vehicles in Bhubaneswar, 188 vehicles lifted in one week

Bhubaneswar, Dec 26: Commissionerate Police has removed as many as 188 abandoned vehicles on public spaces in last seven days. Police has started a special drive in the state capital on December 19 to remove unattended and abandoned vehicles on public spaces. Police said that in the first phase details of abandoned vehicles such as cars, buses and trucks will be found out and the owners of such vehicles will be informed through telephone and public address system. “The vehicle owners will be provided time to remove their vehicles failing which the vehicles will be towed and the vehicle owners will be liable to pay the penalty including towing charges,” said a police official.
