Bhubaneswar, Dec 7: With pandemonium prevailing in the Odisha Assembly, Speaker Surya Narayan Patro on Tuesday expressed pain that the House did not run smoothly. “If one or two members would have created ruckus, I would have taken some action, but what can be done if all the members of the opposition and the ruling party start shouting in the House,” said Patro. After an all-party meeting was held yesterday, the Speaker had expected that the House proceedings would run smoothly. However, the House witnessed uproar on Tuesday as both the opposition members and the ruling party members created ruckus. Patra said that he requested the members of the opposition as well as the ruling party to maintain silence while they were shouting in the house, but none of them listened following which he adjourned the house till 4pm.
