Bhubaneswar/ Mumbai May 27: Two years after popular singer Sona Mohapatra created a ‘controversy’ with her rendition of the popular Odia bhajan ‘Ahe Nila Shaila’ written by Salabega, the singer again sang the devotional one and dedicated it to the motherland.
According to the singer, it took as many as 72hours of non-stop effort to produce the song. “Releasing this prayer for my motherland tonight at 10 pm. It’s been a 72 hour non-stop effort to create this song and video. I hope this music helps calm and also gives strength,” Sona said on Twitter on Wednesday.
“Please listen to ‘Aahe Nila Shaila’, the sweetest song I’ve ever sung! It fills my heart with pure love. This rendition of the 17th century Salabega classic is dedicated to all those people who helped save lives. A prayer to help heal in these tough times,” she said sharing the YouTube link of the video.
Notably, Sona had landed in controversy in 2018 with the rendition of popular Odia bhajan ‘Ahe Nila Shaila’ written by Salabega, renowned Odia poet and an ardent devotee of Lord Jagannath.
