Son dies in road mishap on way after performing father’s last rites at Swargadwar

Boudh, Mar 6: A youth died in a road mishap in Boudh this morning while he was returning after performing his father’s last rites at Swargadwar in Puri. According to sources, Arun Meher, a native of Tarbha area under Subarnapur district had been to Puri to perform his father’s last rites at the Swargadwara. Arun and four of his relatives were returning home in a car this morning when they faced a fatal accident near Karadakotha under Purunacuttak police limit of Boudh district as their car hit a JCB loaded truck. Arun died on the spot in the accident when others sustained critical injury. Police rescued the four injured and admitted to the Purunacuttack community health centre. As their health condition deteriorated, they have been shifted to the district headquarters hospital.
