Bhubaneswar: It was a day to remember for local talent at the J30 Bhubaneswar ITF World Tennis Tour, as Sohini Sanjay Mohanty and Aahan marched into the semifinals of the Girls’ Singles draw with commanding performances, sending the home crowd into raptures at the Kalinga Stadium here on Thursday.
Meanwhile, in Girls’ Doubles, Avipsha Dehury and Shreeniti Chowdhury continued their strong run, booking their place in the final with a dominant win in the semifinals. The duo will now compete for the title under the lights of Centre Court at 6:00 PM on Friday.
In Boys’ Doubles, top-seeded pairing Om Patel and Om Verma secured their place in the final with a clinical performance. They are set to clash for the title at 4:00 PM on Centre Court, making for an exciting double-header of championship tennis.
Top seed Om Patel also moved into the Boys’ Singles semifinals after a gritty comeback, while Hruthik Katakam, Amit Moond, and Shivtej Shirfule completed the final four lineup.
