SOA figures in Times World Rankings for second consecutive year

Bhubaneswar, Oct. 28:The Siksha 'O' Anusandhan Deemed to be University here has figured in the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) World University Subject Rankings-2021 for the second consecutive year having been placed in the 601-800 ranking bracket in both Engineering and Technology and Computer Science category. In Clinical, Pre-clinical and Health category, SOA has been placed in 601 plus bracket, according to the results published on Wednesday. Earlier, SOA as a university figured in the 1001 plus category in THE world University rankings. These rankings were generated from five broad sets of indicators representing key areas in higher education excellence including teaching, research, citations, industry income and international outlook. A multi-disciplinary university having nine different constituent institutes, SOA was placed 20th in the university category in India in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) placings in 2020 while the Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital, it's faculty of medicine, and Institute of Technical Education and Research, it's faculty of engineering and technology, were placed 23rd and 34th in the country respectively. The Institute of Dental Sciences, SOA’s faculty of dental sciences, was ranked 12th in the country by NIRF.
