SOA DRAMA CLUB ‘TONEELSTUK’ WINS FIRST PRIZE IN ‘NUKKAD’ CONTEST

Students of the SOA (Deemed to be University) here have been adjudged the best in a street play contest involving universities and colleges organized to mark the World Theatre Day here on Tuesday. The students representing ‘Toneelstuk’, the SOA dramatic club, staged a play titled ‘Tu Apna Sapno Ki Udan Bhar’ (Chase your dreams) which was found to be the best among the 11 ‘nukkad’ presentations showcased in the competition held at Ekamra Haat. The competition was organized by Suryaam Foundation and Odia One. Nineteen students including Director Rohan Yadav, Supporting Director Musharaf Ahmed, Priyanka Priyadarshini, Pranabananda Khillar and Sangram Kochiari participated in the play. The winners were presented an award of Rs. 15,000. The jury included well known theatre personalities Mr. Abhinna Routray, Mr. Jayprakash Das and Mr. Pradeep Das.
